Registration for the Celebration
A reserved ticket and UC San Diego staff ID verification are required for event admission. This year, there will be two ticket types:
Admission Only
Includes admission to Staff Summer Celebration at RIMAC Field. This ticket does not include a lunch ticket. Staff are encouraged to bring their lunch, eat before arriving or simply stop by throughout the event to take part in the festivities.Lunch + Admission
Includes admission to Staff Summer Celebration at RIMAC Field and a lunch ticket. Lunch tickets are limited, while supplies last.Ticket registration* will be available on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 12 p.m. on the UC San Diego Events Calendar.
*Only UC San Diego email addresses may be used to register for a ticket. All orders reserved with a non-UC San Diego email will be canceled.
If for any reason you are no longer able to attend the event, please cancel your ticket to allow other staff the opportunity to participate.

UC San Diego Staff ID Verification Options
- Physical UC San Diego Staff ID
- If you do not possess a physical UC San Diego staff ID, you have 2 virtual options for staff verification. Both options will require another form of ID to confirm your name.
- UC San Diego App: Download the UC San Diego App. Within the app, click the “Profile” tab with the person icon. Using your staff Single Sign-on, log into your profile. Click on “Home” tab with the house icon. Scroll down the home page until you see “Staff ID.” Display this virtual ID at check-in.
- UC Path: Log into UC Path using your staff Single Sign-on. On the home page, scroll to the “My Information” section. Screenshot this section to display your full name and employee ID at check-in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my ticket?
Yes! Bring a digital copy of your ticket to the event.
Do I need to bring my Staff ID?
Yes! All staff will be required to show a form of UC San Diego staff ID verification.
What do I do if tickets sell out and I am unable to secure a ticket?
A reserved ticket is required for event admission. If Admission Only tickets (does not include lunch) become available, they will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 1:15 p.m. at the Will Call tent. There is no guarantee that tickets will become available.
Can I bring a non-UC San Diego employee, family member or friend to the event?
No. All attendees must be UC San Diego employees.
What if I can no longer attend the event?
- Option 1: Cancel your ticket.
- Option 2: Transfer your ticket to another staff member. Send an email with your name, your colleague’s full name and colleague’s UC San Diego email address to sep2@ucsd.edu.
Why was my ticket cancelled?
After registering for your ticket, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided in the “Contact Information” section. To cancel your ticket, scroll to the bottom of the email and click “Need to cancel your ticket? Go to My Ticket.”
Why was my ticket voided?
Your ticket may be voided for the following reasons:
- You registered using a non-UC San Diego email address: Only UC San Diego email addresses may be used to register for a ticket. Any tickets reserved using a non-UC San Diego email address will be voided.
- You used your name multiple times to register for a ticket: Only one ticket may be reserved per person, all other duplicate entries will be voided.
- If both an Admission-Only and Lunch + Admission ticket are reserved under the same name, the Admission-Only ticket will be voided, and the Lunch + Admission ticket will remain valid.
