Biography
Aracely Chavez as the Staff Education and Development Chair for Staff Association. She is an Administrative Assistant at the Sanford Institute for Empathy and Compassion. She has been with UC San Diego eight years.
Aracely joined the Staff Association to take advantage of its networking and social opportunities, finding it to be a meaningful way to connect with colleagues across departments, share ideas, and build lasting professional relationships. She values the sense of community fostered through the association’s events and activities, which make the workplace more enjoyable and engaging.
While she doesn’t have just one favorite spot on campus, Aracely enjoys exploring UC San Diego’s many coffee shops during her walks. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, and being outdoors. She also enjoys trying new workouts and finding fun ways to stay active.
