Biography 

Jasmine Belleza (she/her/hers) serves as the Social & Networking Events Chair for the Staff Association. Professionally, she is an Event Specialist with Human Resources, bringing over four years of experience at the university to her role.

She joined Staff Association to plan engaging events for staff, collaborate across various departments, and network with our wonderful colleagues from all across campus. Jasmine’s favorite spot on campus is the 15TH floor of Seventh College West Tower —if you know, you know! Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, weightlifting, reading, attending concerts and music festivals, caring for her plant collection, and spending quality time with friends and family. She’s also an avid boba enthusiast, a devoted fan of all things drag and RuPaul’s Drag Race, and loves exploring both Los Angeles (her hometown) and San Diego with her husband and their sweet three-legged dog, Fajita.

Jasmine is graduate of San Diego State University with Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She also holds a Masters of Education in Student Affairs from UCLA.

  1. Collaborates with various constituents to create, budget, manage, and promote UC San Diego Staff Association events, utilizing experience and understanding of event planning on campus.
  2. Works with Special Events and Programs on UC San Diego Staff Association marquee events.
  3. Collaborates with constituents on other campus-wide events for UC San Diego Staff Association involvement.
  4. Supports the Treasurer with tracking of all budget-related items for events.
  5. Oversight of the swag/giveaway items process (selection, purchasing, distribution, tracking, storage.
  6. Oversees Events Committee
  7. Other tasks – voluntary and assigned by the Chair
