Biography
Lindsey Rogers (she/her/hers) is a Research Administrator in Academic Affairs' Department of Mathematics and has been part of the UC San Diego community for four years.
She joined the Staff Association because she enjoys building relationships and bringing people together. Whether coordinating events, supporting cross-campus initiatives, or helping teams communicate effectively, Lindsey is passionate about creating opportunities for colleagues to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.
One of Lindsey's favorite places on campus is the wooded Open Space Preserve along Voigt Drive near Franklin Antonio Hall. She enjoys taking walks through the trees, finding it to be a peaceful escape from the pace of the workweek and a chance to appreciate the natural beauty woven throughout UC San Diego. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys hiking, teaching yoga, and riding her motorcycle. She believes in making the most of her free time and can often be found exploring a new trail, practicing yoga, or heading out on the open road for her next adventure.
Lindsey's advice to staff:
"Don't be afraid to ask questions.. everyone was new at some point. One of the best ways to become part of a team is to offer your help and look for opportunities to contribute. Lead with kindness, introduce yourself to people, and don't hesitate to invite a colleague for coffee or a quick chat.
Building strong relationships takes time, but those connections can make all the difference. When you invest in getting to know the people around you, you create a supportive work environment where you can learn, grow, and thrive."
